Have we underestimated the capability of our local herbs?
Through “warungs” (coffee shop) we aim to get our local herbs the popularity it deserves. We get to remind the people around that what they have in their village are extraordinary without adding artificial flavoring, which would also preserve all the good within each ingredient. To get them to understand what we value is an advantage to elevate the use of local harvests.
Warung Kata allows information from students, experts, and food ethusiates to reach farmers and their families. Understanding the khasiat of local herbs, organic food, and lightly dressed food, would then increase its demands. Allowing bigger range of healthy eating habit to be implemented.
We serve healthy food. Some of which also have benefits of treating illnesses. Today, one of our customers came back for another bottle of moringga kombucha, after he learned that it is good for his wife who has anemia. Well, our warung certainly isn’t a pharmacy, but most of the time the answer for a cure is healthy food and lifestyle. And, that is something we can provide.
This is the thing that we try to maintain; the flow of information that would enhance the richness of our local goods. To finally make use of what we have, to know the capability of our local herbs, to lessen our dependency on hard medications and give solutions to better lifestyles. Warung Kata, will provide a space for this flow of information, building human dictionary of knowledge.
